Life is like a book and each person has his or her own story. Some may be shorter or longer than the others, some are more interesting for you and some you really don't care about. The fact it that every book has a beginning and ending. Every person in this world as far as I know was born then lived their lives and die. So why are there people whose stories transcended beyond their own time and seem immortal? Simple; they inspire.
More likely those stories that inspire you are your heroes. They may be your parents, a close friend or a lover. It's any or all. I guess humanity thought "Hey, I got some time to kill in this world, why not make it interesting." Sometimes, some people tend to make things more interesting. The imagination conjures up dragons, fairies, elves and for some teens, boy/girlfriends. Be careful though, Inspirations can cut you if you are reckless. The moment you look up to someone with such a high standards and their inevitable failure comes, you become more damaged than they had been. That being said, we all make mistakes. Too bad that we can’t erase what we have done. All we can do is hope that another chapter comes and let us redeem ourselves.
We all have regretted something we have done. Some things that we regret are hard to accept for us while some are easily forgotten. We sometimes think of the “what if’s”. What if you hadn't met a certain person, what if you stayed on the same school or even the small stuff like what if you used a blue pen or a black pen? Things would have been different, sure but remember, when we get something we want, it’s inevitable that we get something we don’t want. It’s not even as mystical as karma. Either you like what has happened or you don’t. The thing is weighing it down. If you hadn't met that person you wouldn't meet her awesome friend. If you stayed in the same school, you wouldn't have experienced the thrill of having more close friends. We can fantasize about “spin-offs” in our own story if we want but let’s not live in it. I just hope our stories will still continue for a long time. So let me ask you this… What’s your story?
